As you’re preparing a job, you want to load the needed tools quickly and efficiently. On Milltronics INSPIRE+, it’s as easy as the following six steps!

STEP 1: Press the F5 button to select MDI and bring up the command window.

STEP 2: Call up the position for the tool you need to place by entering M06 for tool change combined with T and the tool position. For example, if you wanted to put the tool in the first position, you would enter “M06T1.”

STEP 3: If there is currently a tool in the position, firmly grasp it and press the tool release button on the spindle. Be sure to have hold of the tool prior to pressing the button to avoid dropping the tool on your workpiece.

STEP 4: While holding the tool release button on the spindle, insert the holder into the spindle with deeper cutout on the holder aligned with the tapered key on the spindle. Release the tool release button to install the tool.

STEP 5: Repeat steps #2 through #4 for every tool you need to place.

STEP 6: Press the Escape button to close the MDI window.
